5 fun things to do in Dubai's Business Bay area
Not long ago did travel site Lonely Planet list Business Bay as one of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods alongside New York, London and Rio de Janeiro. To help you discover or, rediscover the area, we've gathered a list of five fun activities to do in the area.
1. Attend a free yoga class
The free classes take place at Marasi Park four times a week. The schedule includes warrior yoga classes on Mondays and Wednesdays as well as swing yoga on Sundays and Tuesdays. The views of the Dubai Canal are a nice added bonus.

2. Attempt the largest climbing wall in Dubai
Those looking for a little indoor adventure can try out Mountain Extreme. Designed for beginners and pros, the venue features a variety of terrains – slab to steep - to keep you engrossed.
Where: Capital Golden Tower
3. Watch a movie outdoors
There’s no denying that regulars love The Backyard for its casual vibes (think; urban chic matched with a food truck inspired menu) and canal views. On Tuesdays, the venue ups the ante with a movie night. Expect to catch classics like Home Alone, Office Christmas Party and more. A great film paired with hot dogs, popcorn and soft drinks under the open sky, makes for the perfect "winning combo".
When: From 8pm, every Tuesday

4. Dine at the world’s tallest hotel
Inspired by the shape of palm trees, JW Marriott Marquis is very hard to miss. The two identical towers located close to the Business Bay metro station is home to not one but 14 incredible restaurants and bars, including Rang Mahal, the brainchild of Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar, as well as one of our favourite steakhouses, Prime68. Regardless of your dining preference, be sure to pop by the Vault. There really is something special about sipping on a beverage whilst perched on the 71st floor of the of the world's tallest hotel.

5. Go for a run
Aside from "exercise", the 1km long running track located in Bay Avenue Park offers fitness fans uninterrupted views of Burj Khalifa, walls adorned with graffiti as well as an interactive fountain and butterfly shaped light installations. To be honest, we'd ditch the running and just opt for a stroll – it's easier to take pictures that way.
