Steps
You can smirk all you like, but the truth is, deep down, you can’t help but tap your feet and hum along to Steps. The British 90s pop group – consisting of Clare, Faye, H, Lisa and Lee – might be cheesier than a wheel of Edam, but they know and thrive upon it, which has created an enduring and endearing quality about them. Unsurprisingly then, their return has seen them welcomed back with open arms. The latest stop on their comeback tour lands at Dubai Opera this week and promises to be a journey through their pop classics. Catchy tunes such as their 1997 debut “5,6,7,8”, the Bee Gee’s inspired “Heartbeat/Tragedy” and their last number one hit, “Stomp” are sure to have you dancing in the aisles. There’s no need to be embarrased, you’ll be in good company.
