New parking fee introduced in Dubai's Al Khail Gate community
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has issued a new paid parking tariff in the city's Al Khail Gate community.
The fee is set at AED4 and will come into effect after the Eid holidays that start on June 17.
This means that residents could end up paying as much as AED32 a day.

“The parking lot at Al Khail Gate Community has been classified into different zones designated by clearly displayed signs as per the needs of the Community. Some parking spaces will be allocated to residents only, and others will be available for visitors,” explains Hussain Al Banna, Executive Director of Traffic, Traffic and Roads Agency, RTA.
He added that: "Permits will enable residents to use the entire parking zones, be it for residents or visitors."
The seasonal permits have been divided in three categories:
- AED2,500 per year
- AED1,500 per six months
- AED1,000 per three months
Tenants can apply for the permits at RTA's customer happiness centres located in Dubai Municipality’s Al Manara Centre and Al Kifaf Centre.
The news comes shortly after the RTA announced its adjusted parking rates for the Holy Month of Ramadan.
