Dubai is all about the biggest and the best... and now that extends to puzzles too.

The world's largest jigsaw puzzle depicts the UAE founding father, and is celebrating the Year of Zayed.

Made up of more than 12,000 wooden pieces, and spanning more over 6,000 square metres, the giant puzzle is based in the Uptown Dubai district.

The puzzle is almost the size of three Olympic swimming pools in length alone.

In line with DMCC’s commitment to sustainability, all the pieces of the jigsaw will be recycled after the completion of the project

“Dubai, and the UAE, have become renowned for breaking records and they continuously raise the bar in new and exciting ways. This record is a reflection of the admiration the country has for its inspiring Founding Father. We would like to congratulate DMCC on this accomplishment,”, Kevin Southam Official Adjudicator, Guinness World Records said.

The last time someone attempted this world record was in 2002, in Hong Kong.
