Pierce Brosnan spotted in UAE ahead of filming
Pierce Brosnan will start filming in the UAE this month and the award-winning actor, most famous for his role in James Bond and the 1993 comedy Mrs Doubtfire, has already been spotted in Abu Dhabi.
Brosnan shared videos of the Louvre Abu Dhabi on his Instagram, describing it as “a masterpiece of design".
He also posted his "room with a view", sharing a shot from his suite with his 970,000 followers.
Brosnan will be staring in the heist thriller ‘The Misfits’ which is directed by Renny Harlin, who has previously directed films such as Die Hard 2 and Skip Trace.
Harlin said: "We are extremely excited to have him on board.
“Pierce and I have been friends for many years and have been looking for a project to collaborate on for some time. I could not have hoped for a better actor to play our lead.”
Set mostly in the Middle East, 'The Misfits' follows the story of renowned criminal Richard Pace, who finds himself caught up in an elaborate gold heist which promises to have far-reaching implications.
It is believed Brosnan and the rest of ‘The Misfits’ cast are staying at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, which has already been confirmed as one of the shoot locations.
Jamie Chung and British actress Hermione Corfield will also appear in the film.
Brosnan will also be in Dubai from February 24-28 to film in the Dubai desert.
