A brand-new community skatepark has opened here in Dubai.

The 2,000 sq m park is designed for trick skating and encourages skaters of all levels.

So if you're not Tony Hawk, don't worry.

It was built by DAMAC Properties for residents in DAMAC Hills.

Earlier in February, the skatepark hosted its premier Frame Skate Jam event by Select Shop Frame, the region’s first Japanese lifestyle shop.

It brought skating fanatics together to celebrate the growing community here in the UAE.

During the event, local skateboarders put the new park to the test, competing in different challenges.

The audience watched on in awe and were enthralled by ongoing stunts that saw stellar combinations of primo slides and backside pop shuvits, and a variety of other dynamic stunts,

A DAMAC company spokesman said: "During the same month, Golf Town, ready-built homes with world-class views of Damac Hills’ 7,300-yard golf course, was also introduced.

"Adjacent to the new skatepark, spacious apartments at Golf Town can be previewed in-person, or from the comfort of one’s home through Damac's online virtual platform, enhanced by immersive VR technology."
