Brand-new Coca-Cola Arena revealed
With the amount of massive stars and acts that come to Dubai, it’s no wonder they’ve been making a huge stadium in City Walk to host them all. Best part? It’s already getting in some stellar acts.
The first ever multi-purpose venue in the region has been revealed, and it’s officially been named the Coca-Cola Arena.
Based in City Walk, the huge structure was originally named the Dubai Arena, with the name change being announced today following a sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola.
It’s the largest indoor arena of its kind in the Middle East. It can hold up to 17,000 people, and has scoreboards, lighting and sound systems, 46 hospitality suites and much more.
With such facilities, who can you expect to watch there? First off, we’re getting superstar comedian Russell Peters on Thursday June 6, and you can get your tickets to the night of laughter for AED200 on www.ticketmaster.ae.
It’s also recently been announced that international band Maroon 5 will also be performing at the brand-new stadium on Friday June 14, and you can get your tickets for that on www.doneevents.com.
Along with these mega shows, guests can expect sporting events from tennis and basketball, to boxing and ice hockey. The venue will also host plenty of exhibitions, festivals and much more.
Construction of the building has been managed by AEG Ogden, a company whose portfolio includes The O2 in London, the STAPLES Centre in Los Angeles and the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai.
We can imagine hearing “What’s on at the Coca-Cola Stadium?” from now on.
Where: Coca-Cola Stadium, City Walk, Al Safa Street.
