EA revels sneak peek of brand-new Star Wars game
When was the last time you got to wield a Lightsaber in a Star Wars game? Was it in The Force Unleashed II or the limited time you played as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars Battlefront II? Well, maybe don’t expect to swing one around in this new one…
EA have dropped a teaser on their Twitter account (@EAStarWars) about Respawn Entertainment’s brand-new game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. From the looks of it, the Jedi seem to be in a bad way.
The tweet comes with a mysterious message, stating, “Don’t Stand Out,” along with a banner which appears to be a broken Lightsaber placed on stone with runes engraved on it.
Apparently, the new game will take place after the events of the infamous Order 66 during Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, with players taking the role of a Padawan. If you’re in the know, that’s when Sith Lord Palpatine ordered all the Jedi to be annihilated. Tough times.
With that, we believe players will be hiding from the Empire, which may be why the Lightsaber is crushed. At this point, it’s all theories.
The game is due to be released later this year, but we’ll get a better look at it during the Star Wars Celebration event in Chicago on Saturday April 13. Stay tuned until then.
Recognise Respawn Entertainment? If you’re a fan of Apex Legends, then you’ll know they’re the guys behind that massive success. We can’t wait to see what they do with Star Wars.
We’re hyped for another Star Wars game.
