Check out Dubai Police’s new Maserati GranTurismo
We all know Dubai Police’s fleet of supercars is a sight to behold, and they've now added one more to patrol the streets of the city at high speeds.
Dubai Police now have a Maserati GranTurismo, which has a max speed of 300kph thanks to its 4.7-litre, V8 engine. Needless to say, no one is escaping this beast on the street.
Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, said the Maserati GranTurismo will increase police patrols in areas across the city, including Jumeirah Beach Residence, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and Burj Khalifa.
The new speedster is the 15th supercar to join the ranks of Dubai Police’s fleet, which includes everything from the Aston Martin One-77 (only 77 of the vehicles were ever made) to the Bugatti Veyron, awarded the Guinness World Record for the fastest police car in the world back in 2017.
We can see why, as the Bugatti can reach a top speed of a whopping 400kph. To put that into perspective: it could potentially drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi in 20 minutes. Now that’s speed.
As for other supercars, check out our wheels of the week, the Koenigsegg Jesko. It’s a megacar built for pure speed, and it certainly looks the part.
This is a (stylish) supercar fleet not to be messed with.
