Elden Ring is George R.R. Martin and Dark Souls creators new game
We’ve already had FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice this year, and now it’s already been announced at E3 we’re getting another ‘Soulslike’ game.
Elden Ring, an expansive fantasy action-RPG game developed by FromSoftware, is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and it’s being backed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, creator of Dark Souls, and the one and only George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones creator.
Check out the trailer below:
According to FromSoftware, Elden Ring is its “largest game to-date” and is set in a sprawling realm steeped in a rich and bloody history crafted by Hidetaka Miyazaki. We all know how good Dark Souls and Bloodborne are, so we expect a lot from this.
“Collaborating with George R. R. Martin to create the Elden Ring mythos has been a genuinely delightful experience and a source of wonderful inspiration," said Hidetaka Miyazaki
"The team is working hard to ensure that the world of Elden Ring will be a fascinating place for players to explore, filled with peril and wonder from its furthest reaches to its lowest depths.
“This is a FromSoftware title through and through, rich in fantasy and RPG action. We sincerely hope you look forward to it.”
George R.R. Martin added: “Building the world of Elden Ring with Miyazaki-san and his team was a treat! The graphics, mythos, and action-RPG gameplay will deliver an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for people to see what Elden Ring has in store for them.”
Elden Ring is expected to launch for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 system, and PC, although no clear release date has been set yet.
As for other E3 news, Keanu Reeves has finally joined the gaming world, and it’s in the hugely anticipated Cyberpunk 2077.
This year’s E3 is bringing us plenty of good news.
