Where was Beyond Good and Evil 2 at E3 2019?

Say what you will about the ‘Sony-less’ E3 2019 this year, but you can’t deny the amount of big-time games-reveals it delivered. Speaking of which, where in the world was Beyond Good and Evil 2?

It’s already been two years since the wildly entertaining E3 2017 cinematic trailer of Ubisoft’s cult-hit sequel came out, so it wouldn’t be crazy to think E3 2019 would finally announce its release date.

However, not a whisper was heard about it, as the limelight shined brightly on Watch Dogs Legion and its playable ‘hacker granny’ instead. But what you might have missed was a developer stream that took place a week before the gaming conference.

Check it out below:

Yes, it’s a tad underwhelming seeing as there was no real gameplay footage and only went through the concept art of the game, but it did reveal in-depth details about the world the developers are trying to build.

Ubisoft has shown relatively new gameplay footage since Beyond Good and Evil 2’s reveal, showing off how big the open-world action adventure is and, more importantly, how seamless it all is.

Players will take control of a space pirate captain and be able to traverse not just one city, but full-sized planets. Now we’re starting to see why it’s taking a long time to complete.

Check out 2018’s gameplay reveal below:

No release date has been set, but while we wait for that, there are plenty of other details from the CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077, which can be completed “without killing anyone”. We’re intrigued.
