K-Pop band EXO receives spot on Dubai Walk of Fame
Popular Korean-Chinese music group EXO have been honoured with a Dubai Star, appearing on the Dubai Walk of Fame which will span Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard and be unveiled this October.
Having started up in 2011 as a 12-piece band, EXO now comprises nine musicians, each with additional solo careers. They are the first K-pop band to be featured on the Dubai Fountain's playlist with their track ‘Power’, which was also the soundtrack to a special LED show displayed at the Burj Khalifa last July.
Other smash hits from EXO include Love Shot and Growl. The band performed in Dubai last year alongside other South Korean acts at the Autism Rocks Arena.
EXO joins similarly renowned K-Pop band BTS which was chosen to receive a Dubai Star earlier this year, making up a couple of the 400 names that will adorn the highly-anticipated Walk of Fame. We can’t wait to take a look this autumn.
