Co-living concept now popular among UAE developers
Property developers in Dubai have latched onto the concept of ‘co-living’, aimed at creating a collaborative and social lifestyle for residents by offering communal areas such as media or work rooms within a set of private apartments.
The demand for functionality and efficiency has been met by helping young entrepreneurs, freelancers and creatives - the target buyers of these new developments - to combine their professional and social lives with their domestic environment.
It seems buyers are now looking for amenities that encompass not just fundamental comfort, but also work opportunities and the ability to maintain an active lifestyle. Local developers like Emaar are now focusing on projects that can provide co-living spaces to this growing market, and it seems like a smart move: who doesn’t want a commute the length of an elevator ride, or the chance to meet your mates in your very own apartment complex?
Convenience and flexibility is at the heart of both the co-living concept and the impressive, high-quality properties that are a trademark of the UAE, and so it seems likely that this new way of living will continue gaining traction in the region.
