PlayStation Plus free games in August announced

Whether you’re in the mood to race at breakneck speeds in the future or sneakily snipe enemies from afar in an incredibly gory (and sometimes hilarious) fashion, choose both in PlayStation Plus’ games of the month.

This August, PS Plus members can get their hands on Wipeout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4, and for those with PSVR, it should be noted that Wipeout is pretty incredible in it.

From Tuesday August 6 until Monday September 2, either download both games now or simply add them to the library to play later. Although, we know that might be a while with everything that’s coming out.

Wipeout is a long-standing futuristic racing franchise in PlayStation, and the Omega Collection sees WipEout HD, WipEout HD Fury and WipEout 2048, enhanced for PS4 and PS4 Pro.

It’s quick, terrible amounts of fun to master and has those brilliant techno tunes. Check it out below:

Then there’s Sniper Elite 4, a third-person tactical stealth shooter, and as you can see by the number of games in the series, you can tell it’s a popular franchise.

There’s still time to get July’s games, including Detroit: Become Human and Horizon Chase Turbo.

In other gaming news, Hideo Kojima’s new Death Stranding trailer has just showed a character who dies every 21 minutes. We expected no less, Kojima.

Keep your eyes on the PlayStation Store.
