Eid al-Adha 2019 public transport time changes announced

Eid al-Adha is just around the corner, and if you’re heading out and about to celebrate with the rest of the city, be sure to know about these public transport time changes.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have announced the new operating service hours over the Eid break, including the Dubai Metro, tram, public buses and water transport.

However, if you’re a driver, all you need to know is that parking is free throughout Eid.

All paid parking zones, except for multi-level parking terminals, will be free to use from Saturday August 10 until Tuesday August 13. Fees will go back to normal for all drivers on Wednesday August 14.

As for the Dubai Metro users, the Red Line will be operating from 5am until 2am, with Green Line stations offering services from 5.30am to 2am. This will be in effect from Saturday August 10 until Tuesday August 1.

Main bus stations throughout the city, including Gold Souq, will operate from 4.25am to 12.59am, while sub-stations (including Satwa) will start from 5am until 11pm.

Dubai’s Water Bus will operate at Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace and Marina Promenade, from noon until midnight.

The ferry line between Dubai and Sharjah will be running from 2pm until 7pm from the Sharjah Aquarium, and from 3pm to 8pm from Dubai’s Ghubaiba Station.
