Scattered rain and clouds expected across UAE

The National Center for Seismology and Meteorology (NCMS) have predicted cloud cover to increase in the UAE over the next few days, with the possibility of scattered rain in areas.

A statement from NCMS on the weather from Wednesday to Friday says: “Cloud amount with increase occasionally, embedded with some towering clouds associated with rainfall of different intensities starting from west of Abu Dhabi and including Al Ghuwaifat area, Al Ruwais, Madinat Zayed, and Liwa, extending toward Al Ain and some parts of the northern emirates, especially the costs, blowing dust at times. Moderate to rough sea at times in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.”

It seems that cloudy skies are predicted for most of the week, with wind speeds ranging from 18 kilometres per hour to 40 kmph in some areas. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 30s, with highs of 34 degrees Celsius and lows of 20.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a chance of rain on Friday, however, it’s likely to be in amogst sunshine and scattered clouds. NCMS haven’t released a report for Saturday yet, but longer range forecasts seem to show that it will be relatively clear.

Before you go cancelling your plans, if it does rain, it doesn’t look like it will be heavy.
