VIDEO: Rollercoasters & attractions at Motiongate Dubai

Dubai Parks and Resorts is set to open its doors in October 2016, with three theme parks integrated into the massive entertainment resort. Motiongate, the Hollywood themed park, has five zones comprising of Studio Central, Sony Pictures Studios, Smurf’s Village, DreamWorks and Lionsgate.

A new video has been uploaded to Dubai Parks & Resorts’ YouTube channel, giving us a further teaser as to what attractions we can expect when the park opens. One of the biggest rollercoasters will be the Green Hornet, which is described as “fast, fast, fast” in the video.

There’s also a nail-biting 58-metre freefall attraction themed around Zombieland, as well as an experience that’s “not for the faint of heart” at Underworld 4D.

The park comprises of around 27 main attractions, with five large rollercoasters, catering to most ages and adrenaline levels.  There are two attractions for The Hunger Games, and we don’t know much about them, other than that they are a “world’s first” and that The Capitol Bullet Train is said to be an “adrenaline pumping roller coaster which launches guests through 360 degrees of thrill.”

Lionsgate Entertainment Zone will be home to a 1,000 seat multi-purpose theatre that will be home to a show called Step Up Dubai. And the indoor fun doesn’t stop there. Dreamworks Animation is totally equipped for the summer months, being a 45,000 square metre theme park in a box. Inside they’ve recreated the village from How to Train your Dragon, and made a forest area for Shrek fans complete with its own restaurant.

“We are taking guests beyond the screen, into a world of cinematic adventure at Motiongate Dubai. With an action-packed line-up of Hollywood-inspired rides and attractions from fast-paced roller coasters, multi-sensory theatre shows to imaginative play areas, plus a full line-up of live entertainment shows, there is something for everyone,” said Guido Zucchi, General Manager of Motiongate Dubai.
