Rihanna & The Chemical Brothers to headline Abu Dhabi F1

The Chemical Brothers and Rihanna will headline the after-face concerts at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November this year. The two massive acts are set to play at the du Arena for the Yasalam After-Race concerts during the Formula One.

It’s not a stretch to say that Rihanna is currently one of the biggest names in music – she’s the first artist to sell 100 million digital singles, and following an exciting collaboration with Manolo Blahnik, she’s also hot property in fashion circles. With her fourth studio album Anti having been released in January this year, the Barbadian singer is topping charts with new material such as “Work” featuring Drake.

The 28-year-old pop star is confirmed for the after-race concert on Sunday November 27.

Dance duo The Chemical Brothers are also set to entertain crowds at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with a concert on Friday November 25. The English double act, Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, have become world-famous off the back of songs such as “Galvanize” and “Hey Boy Hey Girl”. Their most recent album, Born in the Echoes, which was released last year, is their first studio album since 2010.

It’s a massive announcement from promoters, Flash Entertainment, but you may notice that there’s another announcement to come. With the Chemical Brothers performing on Friday evening and Rihanna on the Sunday evening, that leaves Saturday night wide open for another act.

The third headline reveal hasn’t been made yet, but we’re assured that it’s coming soon.
