Dubai’s Sheikh Mansoor takes daring selfie
The vertigo-inducing selfie trend has been going strong for years, and Dubai is one of the world’s hotspots for edgy photography, given the number of sky scrapers across the city. Many travel pictures on Instagram show bloggers and adrenaline-seekers taking snaps from the edge of cliffs and balconies around the world.
Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum posted a selfie from Cannes in the French Riviera that makes us feels a bit dizzy. The son of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shared a snap on the edge of a balcony with the caption – “If you don’t live on the edge, you will never see the view.”
Shortly after he shared a video (which looks like it was taken on the same balcony) of a stunning fireworks display. It seems that Sheikh Mansoor is in Cannes for Le Festival D’Art Pyrotechnique, which sees the bay light up with colours.
