Dubai is now the first city in the world to have its own Microsoft font
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has revealed the nation’s very own font fittingly called Dubai Font.
Created in collaboration with Microsoft, the font is available in 23 languages and has two typefaces: Latin and Arabic. This is the first time that a Microsoft font has ever been made for a city. It will be available in more than 180 countries and comes in three styles: 'Dubai', 'Dubai Medium' and 'Dubai Light'.

Dubai Healthcare Authority has announced changes to sick leave
From now on you will no longer be entitled to predicted sick leave which means that you will only be eligible for sick leave from the day you go to the hospital and not any time before (previously medical professionals could pre-date a sick leave certificate for up to three days prior to your visit).
The Director of the Health Planning Department at DHA Marwan Al Mulla released an official statement announcing that the new rule comes as an attempt to improve the transparency between public and private health facilities.

Apple opens news store in The Dubai Mall
The two-level shop offers a front row view of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain and is the largest Apple store in the UAE.
The Dubai Mall store acts as a “meeting point for the creative-minded people, and a place of learning and inspiration that combines East and West.”According to the announcement, “Visitors will be able to create, collaborate, and experience the best of Apple, all in one place”.
