Dubai's coastline is getting an AED6.3 billion development
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has just announced the launch of a new project, Marsa Al Arab.
The mega-project will consist of two islands – one of which will be dedicated to entertainment and tourism, while the other will be an exclusive luxury resort.
The Jumeriah Group projec,t which will be developed by Dubai Holding, is said to be worth over AED6.3 billion and will span across 4 million sqft. It will be located on opposite sides of the nation’s Burj Al Arab.

DXB might not be Dubai’s main airport for much longer
If you're a regular passenger on Emirates Airline, you might be taking a diffent route to the airport soon. There are plans to make Al Maktoum International (DWC) the main airport in the city, and the new home of Emirates.
Dubai has just received US$3billion worth of facility credit which will be used to expand and improve its airports. The deal, which saw HSBC bank act as a financial adviser, will mean long-term funding go to two of the city’s main airports; Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). The move consists of a seven-year conventional loan worth US$1.63 billion and a seven-year ijara facility of US$1.48 billion.

Passenger gives birth on Emirates flight from Dubai to Paris
Emirates Airline confirmed that a woman gave birth while on a flight to Paris over the weekend. Flight EK075 was diverted to a Cyprus airport on Friday when the passenger delivered her baby mid-flight. “Emirates can confirm that a passenger travelling onboard Emirates flight EK075, gave birth en route from Dubai to Paris on May 12,” an airline spokesperson told Arabian Business.

Full line-up for Unite with Tomorrowland Dubai revealed
Tomorrowland is one of the world’s greatest electronic music festivals and, for the first time ever, you'll be able to experience the magic without leaving the UAE.
The line-up of DJs who will be performing live on stage has just been announced, with Martin Solveig, Franky Rizardo, Tom Swoon, Ferreck Dawn, Robert Falcon, Mikael Weermets, Siege, Arcade 82 and Barry Fore entertaining Dubai’s Tomorrowland fans.
As well as a bill full of international and local talent, there will be a live satellite connection to the Tomorrowland main stage with KSHMR, Armin Van Buuren, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s sets being streamed directly to Dubai.
