1. Test flights for driverless flying taxis in Dubai have started
Trials of the Ehang184 autonomous aerial vehicles are already underway in Dubai at the test site of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).
Previously the director general and chairman of the RTA Mattar Al Tayer said: “The trial run of the first AAV is in implementation of the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into the smartest city in the world.
"It is also part of RTA’s endeavors to provide self-driving transport through engaging in the technological tests of self-driving vehicles under Dubai environment."

2. Thousands of new units will push Dubai rentals down further
According to a new report by Asteco, the price drop will continue in the second quarter of 2017, largely due to the thousands of new units that will be completed. The report also stated that rents have dropped by 2 percent quarter-on-quarter. This year, Dubai is expected to have 17,700 new units, compared to 8,750 last year.
Furthermore, the report claims that many units are being offered at discounted rates to encourage sales.

3. Dubai taxi drivers can be fined AED400 if you don't wear a seatbelt
Following the introduction of decree No. 178, all Dubai taxi drivers have been granted the permission not to start their meter until all passengers have
fastened their seatbelt.
The decision to allow drivers to do so comes after a number of taxi drivers expressed their concern about receiving a AED400 fine per passenger found not wearing a seatbelt.
