Fantastic dining promotions at Dubai Festival City

Over the next few weeks Dubai Festival City is celebrating Dining at Festival Bay – the waterfront eateries with large terraces and spectacular views of the city.

As part of the Dubai Food Festival, Festival Bay restaurants have put on special promotions until March 11. Here’s our round up of the fantastic offers.

Al Fanar Restaurant & Café
This Middle Eastern hotspot offers an authentic Emirati dining experience thanks to its menu that includes mouthwatering delicacies like thereed deyay (thin slices of arabic bread topped with chicken stew, potatoes and seasonal vegetables) and aysh mohammar ma samak magli (rice cooked in dates syrup topped with pan fried fish). Aside from its many must-try dishes, the venue’s décor, which is inspired by Dubai in the 1960s, is a sight worth seeing.

With over 31 years of international experience it’s safe to say that CPK knows how to keep people coming back for more. The pizza parlour that was founded by former federal prosecutors Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax on March 27, 1985 in Beverly Hills, now has over 250 locations around the world and shows no immediate signs of slowing down. The secret to CPK’s longstanding success? Fresh ingredients and its rich flavour palate. Aside from its famed Jamaican jerk, Chicken BBQ and shrimp scampi pizza, diners can feast on a number of moreish dishes like buffalo cauliflower, avocado club rolls and creamy burrata and grilled crostini – yum.

Motomachi
If you want an authentic Japanese dining experience without spending a pretty penny, Motomachi is the place for you. The venue’s predominately wooden décor, along with its friendly Japanese staff, do an excellent job of transporting diners to the cosmopolitan streets of Japan. Aside from its many Instagram worthy keepsakes which range from the Geisha costumes that hang proud on the wall to the larger than life paper lanterns, the food which includes their signature black cod and light cheesecake is definitely worth a try. No seriously, it’s delicious.

Buca di Beppo
Since it opened its doors in 1993, this now world renowned Italian joint that started as a small eatery in a basement in Minneapolis, now has over 120 branches around the world. It has also welcomed famous faces including former astronaut and one of the first men on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, and Hollywood heavyweight Robert De Niro. Should you decide to dine at this family friendly restaurant, you have the choice of five different seating arrangements, including the option to sit on a gondola beside the kitchen. A favourite from the menu is the half pound meatball spaghetti.

Serendipity 3
Eccentric décor of large bird cages, mirrored ceilings and collectable artwork make Serendipity 3 an Instagrammable place to dine. The menu has similarly fun dishes like long hotdogs and a “White House pizza”. Serendipity 3’s signature “Frrrrozen” hot chocolate is a must – it comes in seven flavours including classic chocolate as well as peanut butter and mint.

Sugar Factory
Step inside the quirky world of the Sugar Factory where the food is as entertaining as the décor. The international chain that’s loved by celebrities like reality star Kendall Jenner, actor Rupert Grint and rapper Ice- T. They also offer a number of hearty breakfast options and mains, which of course have a very unique twist to them. Popcorn shrimp anyone? How about some meatball lollipops?

Joe’s Crab Shack
From monster king crabs to massive lobsters, Joe’s Crab Shack is most definitely every seafood-lover’s dream come true. As well as succulent seafood dishes including mussels, salmon and a variety of salads, the American surf shack has unique décor to entertain customers – a larger than life toy shark greets you at the door and surf boards are displayed throughout the venue.

Fratelli La Bufala
Established by the Bufala brothers – Giuseppe, Antonio and Gennaro – in 2003, this Italian eatery now has over 100 branches in 11 different countries, such as London, Barcelona and Malta. While their menu features your usual suspects – pizzas and pastas – its use of fresh ingredients and delicious buffalo cheese makes it extremely popular. The unique artwork painted by Gennaro himself is not bad either.
Promotion: You’ll get a 15 percent discount on your total bill if you share a snap of your dish on Instagram and tag the restaurant @fratellilabufala_uae. Only available at Dubai Festival City until March 11.

Peppermill
If you’re looking to indulge in the many flavours that India has to offer then Peppermill is the place for you. The seriously chic venue offers guests authentic dining at affordable prices. Our favourites include the chargrilled whole tandoori chicken, served with toasted fennel marinade, as well as the Awadhi murgh korma, which has a creamy cashew nut sauce.

Nando’s
If you’re a fan of the South African chain, then you’re going to love their latest outlet at Dubai Festival City. The eatery that’s inspired by the flavours of Portugal and Mozambique now offers its diners the same great flavour in a seriously cool and colourful setting. The large graffiti artwork at the restaurant’s main entrance is already making its way onto Instagram feeds, as is its classic dishes like the chicken fajita fettuccine.

Chili’s
Chili’s is the sort of place you probably dreamt of being let loose in when you were eight years-old. You’d have ordered a peanut butter and banana split to start alongside a molten chocolate chunk ice cream smoothie, which you’d guzzle as it ran down your chin. No one to tell you off.Even adults have to admit that Chili’s is a guilty pleasure. Make sure you try the new Tableside Guacamole, which is fresh ingredients prepared at your table so that you can customise it exactly as you like – as massive guac fans, this is enough to make us come back for more.

Eataly
Little did Oscar Farinetti know when he opened the very first Eataly in Turin in 2007, that it would become one of the biggest Italian market places in the world. Now some ten years later, the brand has dominated the world of Italian cuisine, which is not only thanks to the many mouthwatering dishes on offer, but also the high-quality bread, pasta, sauces, olive oil and chocolate that can be purchased in the store.  Shopping and a meal in one place? Yes please.

Texas Roadhouse
Think flashy neon signs, lots of wooden panelling and a smoky BBQ aroma and what springs to mind? Cue cowboy music, we’re of course talking about Texas Roadhouse; the cosy haven for lovers of juicy ribs and flame grilled meats. It’s an old classic. For the main course, saddle up and try tender steaks like the Dallas Filet and Texas T Bone, beef briskets, grilled shrimp and smothered chicken.
