VIDEO: Sheikh Mohammed’s daughters go ‘horse surfing’ on Dubai beach

The royal family of Dubai are known for their love of horses with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, even holding the title of being an award-winning endurance racer.

The family’s latest adventure, however, sees Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai’s daughters Sheikha Maitha and Sheikha Maryam steal the spotlight.

A series of videos posted by Sheikh Mohammed’s sister Sheikha Fatima bint Rashid Al Maktoum shows the two princesses wakeboarding with a horse leading the way alongside their cousin Sheikha Latifa on the picturesque shores of Jumeriah Beach.

With over 35,000 combined views the videos, that were posted on the early hours of Friday morning, have caused somewhat of an online frenzy with thousands of fans praising both the girls’ riding skills and the royal family.

Sheikha Maryam also shared a number of videos of her unique wakeboarding with her 395,000 followers.

Among the videos shared was one that shows Maryam riding alongside her sister Sheikha Maitha and her sister’s riding groups; Team Z7 and Team Nogueira Dubai.

“The perfect start to the day riding with my sister @mmrm1 and her team @teamz7 @teamnogueiradubai”, she captioned the video.

The girls beach day out comes less than a month after the royal family added a new member to their every growing family.

Sheikh Mohammed became a proud grandfather after his daughter Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum gave birth to an adorable baby boy called Rashid bin Mansoor on March 22 – one day after UAE Mother’s Day.

The news of Rashid’s arrival was kept relatively quiet, that was until Sheikha Manal shared a snap of her father cradling the region’s newest royal member on her official Instagram account.
