Heading to Hatta? You might want to take an umbrella
If you’re heading down to Hatta, you may want to take an umbrella with you because according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology’s latest bulletin, rainfall is expected to hit Eastern and Southern areas of the UAE.
According to the NCMS, todays’ forecast reads: “Fair to relatively hot weather in general and partly cloudy at times over some areas. The amount of clouds will increase over time with a chance of some convective clouds by afternoon over southern and eastern areas, associated with some rainfall over those areas.”
It added that there will be light to moderate winds in general especially over the western offshore Arabian Gulf during the afternoon. The humidity is also set to increase as the day progresses especially at the coastal areas and the sea will be moderately rough over western area by afternoon.
According to a video published by the UAE Storm Centre it seems as though those living in Hatta have been experiencing rain since yesterday afternoon.
The 16 second long video was accompanied by caption in Arabic that read: “Now, showers in Hatta near the south eastern area”.
According to NCMS’s predicted forecast the rain is expected to continue for the next two days with the bulletin stating that the weather will be partly cloudy in general with a chance of rain in eastern areas of the UAE.
The relative humidity for the next two days is also set to increase as the day progresses. The sea also be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
