Whether you’re a motor head or just like ogling at sleek and fancy cars, you’ll want to rev up your engines and drive on over to City Walk.

Meraas’s lifestyle destination is hosting its fifth annual City Overdrive event, and it features over 80 rare and uniquely custom-built vehicles, some that have never been driven on UAE tarmac.

Taking place from Thursday April 11 until Saturday April 20, car enthusiasts can expect vintage models, super cars, monster trucks and modified bikes – such as the GTR RB 34, vintage Mini Cooper Rat Rods.

The 10-day motoring celebration will also feature a collection of 50 supercars, American muscle cars, 4x4s, monster trucks, bikes and trikes along Al Safa Street.

It’s not just about looking at all the shiny models, though, as families can expect a host of speedy activities, including “Pedal Race Circuit” where racer-wannabes of all ages can compete against each other to win the mini race.

Good with a remote? There’s also a remote-control car race, along with a Formula DXB car display where guests can take snaps in front of the world’s fastest cars. Incoming new Insta-posts.

Not to worry, leather clad bikers, City Overdrive hasn’t forgotten about you. The event will also feature a number of motorbikes including a one-of-a-kind ‘Trike’ – the three-wheeler motorbike.

To finish off the event, City Overdrive will also be throwing a party on Friday April 19. Not much is said about it, but we’re sure to be in for a surprise…

Looking for other vehicular activities? Prepare for double the action this weekend, as the Red Bull Car Park Drift qualifiers are taking place. Warning: prepare for a lot of tiresmoking action.

While you’re at City Walk, you may notice a brand-new Coca-Cola Stadium that’s been put up as well. Check out all you need to know about it right here.

Motor heads, this weekend is looking up.
