Le Royal Meridien
What: There’s a warning note on the hotel’s website that says outdoor pool access will be cut off until July 28 because, naturally, the pool and courtyard have been covered over to accommodate one of the finest and largest Ramadan tents in town. Live cooking stations, traditional spreads, live oud players and dancers, plenty of shisha, and a chance to win exciting prizes are all part of this fasting-to-feasting experience. The air-conditioned tent will offer an array of hot and cold mezze, fateer, traditional saj and more, plus sweet seasonal delights like achtaliyeh, kenafa and katayef.
