Jackie Chan is absolutely loving Dubai

Jackie Chan is in the UAE filming his upcoming movie King Fu Yoga, and far from hiding away in his hotel room, the actor has been spotted around the city on numerous occasions.

After the flurry of photos and videos on the Twittersphere earlier this week (due to him literally stopping traffic), the latest social media pictures show the 61-year-old visiting the Burj Khalifa.

Chan has also been pictured wearing a kandura. He wore the traditional UAE garment to attend the Al Marmoum camel racing track on Al Ain Road.

Along with many pictures on Instagram and Twitter, a clip has emerged showing Chan having his photo taken with local men and some camels. In the video one man can be heard saying “wait for this film, out next year.”

Camel racing isn’t the only thing Jackie Chan has been enjoying. The kung fu star was pictured with fellow cast members, including Bollywood stars Ileana D’Cruz and Sonu Sood, at Atlantis The Palm’s aquarium.

So far, film crew and helicopters have been spotted filming scenes for the Indian-Chinese production in JLT, Downtown, and Atlantis The Palm. And many residents are catching glimpses of the film.

Jamal Al Sharif, chairman of Dubai Film and TV Commission and managing director of Dubai Studio City said: “We are very excited to welcome Jackie Chan and the Kung Fu Yoga production team to Dubai. The UAE is becoming an increasingly popular destination for Hollywood and Bollywood productions, and the filming of Kung Fu Yoga in Dubai is another major boost for our film industry.”

Filming is scheduled to finish on October 30.
