Explosion rips apart Dubai's Bosporus restaurant
Dubai’s famous Bosporus restaurant has been ripped apart by an apparent gas explosion early on Tuesday morning.
Residents reported hearing a loud bang around 6.15am at the famous Turkish restaurant, located on Beach Road in Umm Suqeim. Pictures show much of the restaurant severely damaged at the lower levels, with emergency crews attending the incident. Damage from the explosion was strewn across several lanes on Beach Road.
It is not believed that anyone was hurt, and reports suggest the incident may have been caused by a gas explosion.
The restaurant has long been one of the most popular Turkish eateries in the emirate, and completely full during weekends.
