One of our new favourite breakfast hangouts is this classy place down in Jumeirah. The food is every bit as Instagrammable as the name suggests, and the terrace is ideal for weekend catch-ups. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as cooking classes, this is definitely one to add to you 2016 hit list. Our top tip – try the eggs benedict. Delicious.

Al Faris
This ought to be one of the more memorable events put on in Dubai in 2016. Al Faris is an epic musical play based on the poems of UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It depicts the long horseback journey of a knight to rescue his lady love, Shomoos, from her kidnapper, Ghairan, telling the story of a warrior’s determination to ensure his people are safe and prosperous in a world surrounded by violence and hatred – a fairly clear metaphor for current times.  Al Faris will take place in Sheikh Rashid Hall for four consecutive nights, with tickets starting at AED195.
