Belgian DJ prodigy Felix de Laet, AKA Lost Frequencies, is making his third visit to Dubai this weekend for a set at Zero Gravity.

In addition to hits such as “Are You With Me”, the most played single in Europe in 2014, and new track “What is Love?”, he tells us he’s got a few surprises up his sleeve…

I am really excited to come back to Dubai. The venue is so exciting. I love that it’s on the beach and has a really cool vibe. I have some new versions of tracks from my latest album to play; much more energetic and groovy. It’s going to be fun.

I’m in and out of Dubai in two days, that’s how it is. But I am hoping someday I will visit with my friends to hang out at clubs, go out to the desert and stuff like that.

I’m not sick of playing “Are You With Me”. I’ve made special versions of the track to keep it fresh and exciting. When I play it there is so much energy and so much love in that moment.

I try to play different stuff during my sets. If I am in love with a track I will play it and see how the crowd reacts. If it doesn’t work, I will just keep it for myself.

It is still strange to me when I overtake major artists in the charts, but I’d never say I am better than those artists. I’m just happy to have so much support and that people are enjoying the music.

My fantasy festival line-up would be Flume for sure, I’m in love with Flume. Seinfeld, he’s a really cool guy, DJ Combs, maybe Disclosure and I’d always finish with Daft Punk.

If I am not with my family or friends I am making music; it is very melodic, it feels clubby but it is easy to listen to and dance to and relax into – that’s the music I make.
