The pick of Dubai's hop gardens
Unless you were lucky enough to grow up on a tropical island, the chance to sup a few jars with your pals in a hops garden is a pleasure often confined to one fortnight in August. Here in Dubai, though, whiling away an afternoon with some brilliant brews and slightly questionable banter in the open air is a pursuit we can enjoy for most of the year. So ditch those dingy, smokey indoor bars and enjoy the fresh air at these top hops gardens. Summer is coming, you know?

Best enjoyed with a pint of chilled hops and some equally chilled company, this cracking hangout is entirely alfresco. It’s a great place to watch the footie, especially because you can hide the tears of despair behind your sunnies.

Those of you New Dubai dwellers might see it as a bit of a mission but we really can’t extol The IV’s virtues enough. The hops garden here is buzzing both out the front under the market-style covering. The live bands are worth the trip up alone.
