Three fantastic gastropubs to try in Dubai
The Tap House
If you’re after a gastropub with a beachy view (and there aren’t too many out there), The Tap House in hotspot Club Vista Mare has you covered. They do fabulous food and have a great happy hour, but its ‘Nan’s Roast’ is the star of the show. Nothing, and we mean nothing, will ever beat our nan’s roast, but The Tap House’s version certainly comes pretty close. Head on down for chilled evenings with beach vibes.

This one wear’s its name on its sleeve, and not literally, because it’s in the name. The décor is low-key, industrial and cool, and the hanging filament lighting and quirky bottle soap dispensers in the bathrooms makes it that much more charming. It’s really saying something when its bathrooms is one of a venue’s selling points.
A gastropub with top grub and even better deals. We’ll be going back soon.

What do Saturdays mean to you? For some it’s sport. For others it’s shopping. For a few it’s sitting somewhere dark hoping the morning doesn’t come. The Brunswick in Sheraton Mall of the Emirates is an ideal base for all three. There are six TVs, including a massive courtyard screen and three hi-fidelity projectors – and its relatively compact space means that you’ll get a great view wherever you are.
