The Irish Village gets another venue in Dubai Studio City
Everybody loves The Irish Village, right? Let’s face it, what’s not to like? Great grub, a brilliant selection of beverages, fantastic live music and a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
It’s right up our street, and fans of the original venue in Garhoud will be delighted to hear that a new Irish Village has now opened in Studio City. That’s right, if you fancy a pint of the black stuff and decent craic, you now have another option. What a result.
If that’s not enough good news for one day, and if any added incentive were needed to get down there and check the new place out, the venue is marking its opening by celebrating with ten days of all-day happy hour prices, meaning you will be able to sip on selected pints for just AED35 until Saturday August 3.
The pub will be putting on live music seven nights a week, with a line-up of local artists including Mark Laffan, Paul O’Connor, Chad Sycamore, Leanna Chelsea Kerry and Jaymie De Ville, and if you’re a sports fan, you’re in luck, because the venue’s 220-capacity terrace, set to be a perfect spot in winter, will house a huge screen showing all of the biggest sporting contests, while the interior, able to hold 150 people, will also contain four screens on which you can watch the goals fly in.
It’s a new venue, but thankfully one which will hold a familiar feel for fans of the Garhoud branch, according to Dave Cattanach, General Manager of The Irish Village, who said: “We’ve kept true to what The Irish Village is, we’ve just tweaked it a little bit and made it a bit more modern.
“We’ve kept true to the food, the look, the range of hops, the terrace, the clock tower… And we’ve kept true to the water – we’ve got a waterfall on the terrace, which is a nod to the pond.” We can’t wait to check it out, we’ll see you at the bar.
