Decent grub in a sporty setting

When we head down to Andreea’s we’re in need of a quick fix. The weekend’s activities are beginning to bite, and we need some downtime. Back to basics. Some hearty pub grub and couple of relaxing beverages while we sit there and watch the sporting action unfold on the screens.

We’ve come to the right place. This is exactly what we need. It’s pretty quiet (again, probably what we need), aside from the noise of the upbeat house music coming from the outside pool area, and with a table football game, along with a couple of pool tables, lined along one side of the bar area, as well as plenty of sporting memorabilia adorning the walls, we know what to expect.

There are a few screens above the bar, and others dotted around the venue. As we order from a decent selection of hops, the barman drops a much-needed bowl of snacks in front of us, before we order grub from a solid-looking menu. It feels like a pizza day, and we choose the spicy chicken version, which we manage to plough through while watching a pre-season friendly on the box. The players look more tired than us. But the combination of pizza and hops ensures we feel better than we did on arrival, which is the highest form of praise we can provide. Just a shame about that house music.
