Dubai is gearing up to welcome the last phase of tourist influx for this year. Known as the best winter sun destination, Dubai has started a new campaign to attract tourists for the year-end season. The #DubaiDestinations winter campaign has started and the Emirates has been named as one of the must-visit places for winter. According to ParkSleepFly, a travel package provider, Dubai has been staying on top of Instagram tags related to winter vacations and in Google too, Dubai has been searched in the category of “things to do” in winter.
About The Tourism Campaign
With an average daylight duration of eight hours and temperatures reaching only around twenty degrees, Dubai is an ideal winter tourist spot for tourists, especially from the West, which is known for its hostile winters.
After the covid 19 lockdowns, this year saw a stupendous rise in tourist activity across the world and Dubai also had its big share with almost a threefold increase in the number of tourists traveling to the Emirates compared to last year. The Department of Economy and Tourism reported an average of six million visitors from January to May this year.
Officials said that tourism is the main backbone of the Dubai economy but it had been lying low for almost two years because of the pandemic. Relaxation of travel restrictions, organizing new events and exhibitions, FIFA world cup, Dubai Shopping Festival, Gitex Tech Exhibition, Dubai Expo 2020, etc. were all major attractions that pulled people from around the world to Dubai.
Dubai has started constructing some major projects like the Sharjah forest community, National History Museum Abu Dhabi, and the recently constructed Mohammed bin Rashid Library in Dubai. This year Dubai had overtaken other prominent destinations like New York, Paris, and London to become the most preferred place for visiting and residence.
The quality of life index is also high in the emirates as expats are given more opportunities and options to make a good living with all possible comforts and resources available at their disposal. All of these are possible because of the strategic planning and recovery implementation done by the administration of Dubai under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai.
In a recent survey, it was found that Digital tech employees and entrepreneurs preferred Dubai as one of their favorite “Travel and Work” destinations because of its climate, affordability, and general quality of life. Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of Dubai Media Council said that the #DubaiDestinations campaign is a congruence of both public and private sectors together with the creative and media industries to create an all-around experience for the visitors.
It will be a detailed journey into the different aspects of Dubai tourism like mountain landscapes, beaches, food culture, heritage architecture, and cityscapes. The campaign is designed around the theme of three elements: Land, water, and sky and introduces the visitors to these individual elements and the main attractions designed around them.
It will particularly focus on the Hatta region which is known to offer a lot of possibilities like exploring the archeological sites, visiting the Hatta Dam, Heritage village, and Hatta Hill Park. Tourists will also be able to travel to the Hatta Mountain Conservation Reserve which is known for its vibrant ecosystem filled with rare birds and animals.
#DubaiDestinations will be running till February next year and it aims to attract the global community to experience the adventures that the Emirates has to offer. To know more about the campaign, Brand Dubai has opened a website www.dubaidestinations.ae where you can find numerous content and video guides.
