The Dubai Press Club (DPC) announced that under the support and presence of the Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Press Club will host the eighth edition of its Emirati Media Forum (EMF) on April 10th.
The event that is decided to be held at the Dubai Press Club located in One Central at the Dubai World Trade Centre will be attended by leading media personalities, prominent writers and intellectuals, and heads of UAE media institutions.
The eighth edition of the Emirati Media Forum is to be held from April 10 onwards
The Dubai Press Club (DPC) announced that under the support and presence of the Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the eighth edition of the Emirati Media Forum (EMF) will be held from April 10, 2023, onwards.
The event that is decided to be held at the Dubai Press Club located in One Central at the Dubai World Trade Centre will be attended by leading media personalities, prominent writers and intellectuals, and heads of UAE media institutions.
The Forum will provide an opportunity to discuss the developments and important issues related to media. It will have a specialised group of speakers, with a proven track record in various fields to discuss the issues. The talk with the speakers will help the local and industry leaders to gain deeper and more comprehensive knowledge of the various aspects related to media.
Emirati Media Forum’s eighth edition will be held on 10 April at the Dubai Press Club. The Forum will have panel discussions on developing the UAE media with a special focus on the need of using the latest technologies to support its growth. The discussions will be led under the supervision of Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of the State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and also the Advisory Board Member of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI).
The discussion will also have a look at how the technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the metaverse will influence the media environment. It will also try to analyze the ways to utilize the opportunities to increase the growth of the media industry in the coming years.
The President of the Dubai Press Club, Her Excellency Mona Al Marri commented that the Emirati Media Forum will offer a chance to the various local media organisations and the key industry leaders to gather around and to identify and discuss how they can work collectively. This opportunity will help them to increase the competitiveness of the media industry thereby paving the way to achieve UAE’s ambitious future vision.
Her Excellency also emphasized the interest on the part of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed to ensure the Forum that shows how the UAE media can hold on to advancements in the media industry to improve their content in the future.
The Director of the Dubai Press Club, Dr. Maitha Buhumaid said that the major technological transformations that are creating an impact on every sector are the major backdrop of the eighth edition of the Emirati Media Forum which is to be held from April 10 onwards. She also added that the Forum will definitely provide a platform for the industry players and the thought leaders to contribute their vision on how the media can make use of these transformations to create new tools and opportunities.
The advancements in the media sector like Artificial Intelligence (AI) have made a significant change in the way the media operates. The Forum which is to be held aims to gain knowledge on how these technologies can be made use of to attain excellence in the media sector.
The organization of the Forum was announced in the presence of the media institution leaders of the UAE, chief editors of local newspapers, senior writers, thinkers, and makers of opinion, and the personalities in charge of the media work in the UAE.
The previous editions of the Emirati Media Forum gave opportunities for discussion between the players across the local media market. The first edition of the Forum was held in 2013, it was a chance to discuss the latest developments in the media industry and was successful in providing insights for the regional media organisations, journalists, professionals, and specialists in the media industry. Moreover, it also serves the local media outlets by providing new insights and gaining knowledge on the need to develop their leadership qualities so as to ensure their growth.

With an aim to support and promote regional media, the DPC serves as a dedicated centre to support the development of the media sector.
