Tiesto to play Dubai gig in December
Dutchman Tijs Michiel Verwest, better known under the moniker Tiesto, is the latest in a huge line of internationally renowned DJs to visit Dubai. The 47-year-old trance and progressive house producer is confirmed for a gig in Dubai on National Day – December 2, 2016.
The top DJ will play at Dubai World Trade Centre in Sheikh Rashid Hall, returning to the venue since his epic 2013 gig. His last visit to Dubai was only earlier this year – so it seems that Dubai has a large fan following eager to have him back.
Tiesto has been at the forefront of dance music for two decades, having cruised through different dance music genres over the years. In 2005 he released “Adagio for Strings” from his album, Just Be, which has gone down in music history. Mixmag readers voted it the second greatest dance record of all time.
Since then Mixmag have given him an even more coveted title, naming him “the Greatest DJ of All Time” in a poll voted for by fans. These days he’s a headliner at the world’s biggest festivals including Tomorrowland and Ultra. Along with his Las Vegas residency at Hakkasan, he’s never far from a set of decks. Recently he won a Grammy Award for his now-famous remix of John Legend’s hit “All Of Me”, showing that after decades in the business, he’s still at the top of his game.
The evenings support acts will be Stephen Grandi and Hollaphonic. Doors open at 9.30pm.
Tickets for Tiesto start at AED275 for general admission (early bird tickets are now available for AED200), from platinum list. For table bookings call +971 50 855 1515.
