Street Food Market DXB sounds awesome

Published

Market stalls, pop-ups, food trucks… Dubai has clearly fallen in love with food served on a cardboard tray via the open hatch of a stainless-steel trailer. But then again, is there any other way to eat a taco? Or a burger? The answer seems to be a resounding “no”. Last Exit, TruckersDXB, the food truck festival in Zabeel Park and now Street Food Market DXB certainly suggest that grazing from mobile kitchens isn’t gong out of fashion yet.

This new one will feature 20 vendors and offer the likes of burgers, hotdogs, Lebanese ka’ak, falafel, crepes and sushi. The one we’re perhaps most looking forward to is Sir Loin & Sons, a “meatery” that offers high-quality meats and burgers from its six-metre long, custom-built Texan smoking rig, which focuses on slow cooking and smoking. Yes, please.

It’s not just food, of course, and there are a stack of local DJs and liquid refreshments to enjoy, too. “We’re offering a ‘free spirited’ outdoor event for adults where talented
food pop-up and food truck vendors are encouraged to surprise and amaze our guests,” says founder Alexandre Teodoresco.
