Tiesto, Carl Cox and Martin Garrix announced for Abu Dhabi F1

The Alchemy Project has just announced that Tiësto, Carl Cox and Martin Garrix will be playing at the biggest race event of the year, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

As part of the event company’s latest initiative, Beyond The Track, the trio will be performing separately over three consecutive nights from Friday, November 24 at Yas Island’s Du Forum.

Martin Garrix will be behind the decks on Friday, November 24 from 10pm to 5am. The 21-year-old Dutchman who was somewhat of a protégée for Tiësto, is now number one DJ in the world according to DJ mag’s rankings.

He’s best known for his debut single “Animals”, which was 2013’s sound of the summer, reaching number one in the UK and Belgium, and going double platinum in the US. But far from being his biggest achievement, this only served as a springboard for his music career.

Considered one of the youngest influencers on the electronic scene, he was in Billboard’s prestigious ’21 under 21’, as well as Forbes’ ’30 under 30’.

Next is Carl Cox. The radio host, founder of Intec Digital and veteran of the house music scene, will be demonstrating exactly how it is done on Saturday, November 25. With over 25 years of experience, expect to bust some serious moves.

Closing the three day festival is none other than Tiësto. The 46-year-old trance and progressive house producer has been at the forefront of dance music for two decades, having cruised through different dance music genres over the years. In 2005 he released “Adagio for Strings” from his album, Just Be, which has gone down in music history. Mixmag readers voted it the second greatest dance record of all time.

Now that you know who’ll be performing, here’s how you can get your hands on some tickets…

Tickets to Beyond The Track start from AED 295 and will go on sale tomorrow (August 1) at 10am exclusively at .

If you’d like the ultimate Abu Dhabi Grand Prix experience, aim to get your hands on the VIP hospitality packages. From AED5,000, guests will receive a pre-designed F&B package, some of the best seats in the house and a chance to see a different side of the after race events in the presence of some of the world’s most renowned artists.

Speaking on the news, the Managing Director of the Alchemy Project, Sia S. Far said: “We are very excited to announce the return of Alchemy Project to dance music scene in UAE after almost five years, since our last major event in dance music scene with the Atelier festivals which featured artists such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Faithless and many more.

“This event will be the start of a series of world class events that will be announced by Alchemy Project, further establishing our presence in UAE’s dance music scene, in the upcoming weeks and months.”

In case you missed it, the first of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yasalam after-race concert acts were announced earlier this month.

Scottish DJ Calvin Harris and American solo artist Pink will play at Yas Island’s Du Arena in November.

Calvin Harris will open the concerts with a gig on Thursday, November 23 while pink will close the concerts on Sunday, November 26. Acts for November 24 and 25 will be revealed soon. For more information on the Yasalam after race concerts, click here.
