Kendrick Lamar cancels Abu Dhabi F1 After-Race Concert
Sad news guys, Kendrick Lamar is longer a part of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yasalam After-Race Concert line-up…
According to event’s official organiser FLASH Entertainment, the 30-year-old "Humble" singer had to pull out of his gig that was scheduled to take to place at the du Arena on Friday, November 24, for “personal reasons”.
Announcement: Unfortunately, for personal reasons out of our control, KENDRICK LAMAR is unable to perform at the #Yasalam2017 After-Race Concerts on Friday 24th Nov. We 're excited to announce that Friday’s ARC will by hip-hop producer and recording artist, @JColeNC #JColeAtF1 pic.twitter.com/g8Iy3AyY8c— Yasalam AE (@YasalamAE) November 15, 2017
So, while we can no longer look forward to seeing Kendrick Lamar perform, we can, however, look forward to seeing Hip-Hop artist J.Cole.
That’s right, the 32-year-old has been announced as Lamar's replacement. Fans can expect to see the Frankfurt native belt out a number of his hit-songs which bangers like “Power Trip” and “No Role Modelz”.
If you’ve just joined the F1 party, here’s the list of the acts that will also be performing at the four-day event...
Calvin Harris is opening the concerts with a gig on Thursday, November 23. The 33-year-old, who is better-known as Adam Wiles to people in his hometown of Dumfries, is dominating the charts at the moment. It seems like every year he drops an anthem-of-the-summer, with tracks like “My Way”, “This Is What You Came For”, “How Deep Is Your Love” and “Summer” gaining him serious radio-play over the last few years. The concert comes at a great time for Harris, who dropped his latest album of floor-fillers, Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1, earlier this year.
Mumford & Sons
The British rockers will be performing on Saturday, November 25. Die-hard fans can expect to hear songs like “Awake My Soul”, “I Will Wait” and “Lovers Eyes”. We’re particularly excited to see how the crowd reacts to their mega-track “Little Lion Man”.
The 38-year-old singer will close the concerts on Sunday, November 26. And, given her impressive 20 year career and global reach, the “Try” singer will most definitely “Get The Party Started”. Aside from her long list of classics, die-hard fans can expect to her a number of her newer tracks which includes “Waterfall” (ft Sia), and “What About Us”.
