The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has just announced that the private sector will get a three-day weekend next week!

The highly-anticipated break which commemorates Martyrs' Day (November 30) and the UAE National Day (December 2) will start on Thursday, November 30 and will end on Sunday, December 3.

While it’s not the four day weekend that we were hoping for… three days is always better than two.

If you work in the public sector, congrats! You get four days off.

Yep, you get Thursday, November 30, and Sunday, December 3, off...

There you have it, better mark your calendars and make a few plans.

We've done a bit of searching, you know to help you out with your plans, and here are three activities that we think you should check out.

The beloved sporting event returns to Dubai for yet another year of fast paced action. Aside from world-class rugby, the entertainment and festivities are also worth a mention. There’ll be games (suited for those of all ages), great food (burgers, pizzas, pies and biltong for the South African folk will be some of the food on offer) and live entertainment in the form of bands and DJs.

National Day Parade
