Though popular for its dim sums, this classy London import at DIFC will welcome the New Year with a special à la carte menu that will be available from February 15 to 21. Think mixed seafood that's served in a bird’s nest, steamed shrimps and the venue's signature traditional hot pot that’s served in portions made for sharing. Leave some space for dessert as they have several options that include the likes of baked sesame pastry, sweet rose lychee pudding and pan fried sticky rice.

The casual Business Bay eatery is home to perhaps some of the most authentic Chinese cuisine in town. Spread over three floors, the restaurant prides itself on its seafood selection that includes moreish dishes like deep fried lobster, sautéed cod and grilled king scallops. However, it’s the dim sum that always steals our attention. Not only flavourful, they come in shapes that deserve a space on your Instagram feed. The CNY offer is pretty straight forward (sort of), book your dinner table on February 15 and along with delicious food, they promise you a packet full of surprises. Just have to book to find it what they are.

Shangri-La's signature restaurant is putting up a feast fit for a king this Chinese New Year. Guests can choose from one of four ten-course (yes, you read right) menus, priced at AED258 per person, that have been designed for the occasion. That's not all. The team are also transforming the venue to create a fitting ambience - expect lanterns and Chinese music between February 15 to 22. And if you happen to swing by the hotel on February 16, you'll witness the traditional lion dance in the lobby area.
