DSS Gaming Challenge 2018: Rapper, boxer and YouTube sensation KSI is coming to Dubai

We’ve got some exciting news, comedian, boxer and YouTube sensation KSI is coming to Dubai.

That’s right, the man taking on fellow YouTuber Logan Paul in a boxing ring this August (we’re not kidding) will be attending the 21st edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS).

The event organised by ITP Live in association with DSS will take place on Saturday, June 30 and will see the rapper (yep, he sings too) play a number of games including Fortnite, FIFA World Cup 2018 and PlayLink with a few lucky fans.

Other big names attending the event that kicks at 5pm at The Dubai Mall’s Star Atrium include Mo Vlogs, Tariq Al-Harbi, Saygin Yalcin and Ahmed Al-Nasheet.

If you haven’t heard of KSI – keep up people, here’s what you need to know…

  • KSI’s real name is Olajide William “JJ” Olatunji.
  • His rap album Keep Up topped the UK R&B Album Chart.
  • His YouTube channel has more than 18 million subscribers, placing him well on the world’s most influential list.

Exciting stuff. Here’s what the 24-year-old had to say about his upcoming visit.

“I’m pumped to head back to Dubai this year to meet my viewers at The Dubai Mall for Dubai Summer Surprises 2018 and play at the Gaming Challenge event.”

For your chance to play against KSI, head to The Dubai Mall from June 22 to June 27. Those who spend AED300 at the mall qualify to take part in the Playlink Gaming Zone by PlayStation challenge. The tournament’s top player (you, potentially) then gets to take on KSI on June 30.
