Ocean’s 8

The film follows Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), the younger sister of Danny Ocean, the protagonist from the previous movies. Fresh out of prison, Debbie wastes no time in getting back into the crime game by planning one last heist of epic proportions. The target? The Toussaint, a $150 million Cartier necklace, which will be present at the annual Met Gala in Manhattan, New York. She soon enlists the help of her former partner in crime, Lou (Cate Blanchett) and puts together a ragtag crew to aid her quest for bagging the prize. In it’s ranks are tech whizz Nine Ball (Rihanna), disgraced fashion designer Rose (Helena Bonham Carter) and jewellery maker Amita (Mindy Kaling). It’s the chemistry between the band of sisters that carries the movie superbly – a cast selection that’s great and doesn’t contain a weak link.
