You did it, you made it to the weekend. It's been a long five days, but you're finally there. Come six o' lock, you'll be a free bird. And to help you fly into the weekend, we've shortlisted 10 great activities that will hopefully ensure that the flight is nothing but smooth.

Let's begin...

Dubai Sports World

Dubai Events - Dubai Sports World

With summer well and truly here, it’s tough to go out for any physical sporting activity without turning back around to bask in the A/C at home. Here’s an alternative before we all get too lazy and blame the heat, Dubai Sports World is offering an indoor and air-conditioned venue for three-months for everyone who enjoys playing sports. From football to badminton, you can book a pitch or a court with your mates regardless of your skill level. If you’re not quite a team player, you can always pop in and go for a run on the free running track or even have a go on the Ninja Warrior Obstacle course.
Where: Dubai World Trade Centre
When: Until September 8
Price: Free entry

Bounce

Bounce Dubai

Trampolining might not come top of most lists of manly pursuits, but you’ll certainly get a full workout. The dodgeball sessions are great for settling old scores with friends, while the X-Park parkour course will test test your agility and mental strength.
Where: Building 32, 4B Street, Al Quoz

VR Park

The double story park is home to three great virtual experiences; Dubai Drone, Ape X and John Wick Chronicles. Our favourite being "Dubai Drone". Set in 2050, the ride is based around a taxi journey in the sky. The only issue is, the sky is full of traffic and your taxi spins out of control – great fun.
Where: The Dubai Mall, Level 2
Price: From AED 45

Pancake Challenge

Eggspectation

There’s a sweet (and savoury) challenge taking place at Eggspectation this July. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Canadian restaurant is challenging guests to take on its 25-stack – one for each year they’ve been going, obviously – of pancakes. Take the tower down in 25 minutes or less and you’ll get a voucher for a discount on your next meal. If you fail, then you hand over AED98. To make it slightly easier, you can take three friends with
you to help out. Just be sure to go hungry.
When: Until July 31
Where: Eggspectation, JBR and City Walk
