9 great things to do in Dubai this week
The big draw festival
This month Apple are on a mission to inspire people to get creative with their iPads. Throughout the month, the store in Dubai Mall is holding a series of sessions in association with global arts education charity, The Big Draw, inviting industry experts to discuss their careers and help aspiring artists to get the most from their gadgets. This week, Aysha Al Hemrani – a self-taught UAE-born artist who created an app that enables people to make customised greeting cards – will be running Live Art: Emirati Pop Culture. After sharing her artistic journey, Aysha will encourage attendees to illustrate their own cards on an iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil, which will be provided if you’re behind with the latest launches. The talk and tutorial is free, and it’s just one of many taking place across the month. You just need to sign up to secure your place online.
