What to expect at Dubai International Boat Show
If you’ve been saving up for that party yacht for a while now (we’re making slow progress too, don’t worry) maybe this is the year for you to finally go out do some research that doesn’t involve just, you know, partying on a yacht.
This week the Dubai International Boat show moors up in Jumeirah 2 at the Dubai Water Canal. For an entire five days, from February 26 to March 2, the event will be filled with everything from display models (so you can decide which superyacht you’ll settle on) and expert talks to chilled-out party lounges from on the region’s favourite clubs.
Start by casting your eyes upon beauties such as the Gulf Craft’s Majesty 140 – a masterpiece of a water vessel that’s designed and built right here in the UAE, having launched at the show last year.
You can also gaze upon the Princess Yacht’s Princess F70, the regal cruiser a flagship of British luxury with an array of delicate fixtures, fittings and finishes throughout its entire 69ft 9in. Elsewhere, prepare to watch on as competitions such as The Fly Board Championship and the UAE International Aquabike Championship unfold.
Whether you’re a captain or a diver, there are group meet-ups, talks and gatherings to discuss the latest news and exchange stories with fellow enthusiasts.
Watch on at the live interactive diving pool experience setup, or head over to the hangout put on by Dubai’s own outpost of world-famous club Nikki Beach. It will be offering beats from the haunt’s resident DJs, signature mixed beverages from the beach club and Mediterranean-inspired bites.
We told you, plenty to sea...
