NIGHTS OUT
sky 2.0

Head down to the recently opened SKY 2.0 for a combination of top international DJs and massive production. Taking its lead from the original Sky Bar, in Beirut, the Dubai venue is located in Design District and can accommodate huge numbers. It’s a place to visit later in the week, with the venue open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. In terms of the music, it’s mainly house hits, R&B anthems and those big favourites everybody knows. So get yourselves down there and see what all the fuss is about.

Al Murray
Al Murray and his alter-ego, ‘The Pub Landlord,’ play Dubai this week. Murray is renowned for involving audience members in his shows so be warned, but it should be a cracker. Get your tickets now.

Fish House
Enjoy a traditional taste of Spain with Paella Thursdays at Fish House in Dubai Festival City. CULTURE FIX
Luca Valentini

Luca Valentini will be launching his new collection “Turn on the Light” at Sconci Art gallery, DIFC, on Monday April 8.



Italian-born but Dubai-based, Valentini is a self-proclaimed perfectionist who describes his work as an “expression of the true nature of the society in which we live today”.

Valentini has previously put on exhibitions across the globe in locations including Los Angeles, Hong Kong and London, receiving widespread acclaim on each occasion.

During the Dubai exhibition, which is scheduled to run for the next three weeks, Valentini will showcase 24 unique works which will be split into two sections, with the first focusing on the reinterpretation of newspaper covers, movie posters and advertisements, while the second is inspired by Valentini’s origins and reinterpreted in a modern way, placing the theme of social acceptance at the centre of his work.
