Coca-Cola Arena get its ‘crown’ days away from first-ever event
We’re only a day from the Coca-Cola Arena welcoming guests to its hugely anticipated (and hilarious) first-ever show, and as the cherry on top, it has now received its very own crown.
Dubai’s brand-new entertainment destination has installed its grand entrance sign, all to signal the final part of its completion, and it’s looking pretty impressive.
Since construction on the multipurpose indoor venue began in 2017, it’s taken more than 5.65 million working hours to turn it into what it is today.
As the finishing touch, the massive Coca-Cola Arena sign was recently fitted, making it officially ready to welcome world-famous comedian Russell Peters tomorrow (Thursday June 6).
The new sign stands tall at a height of 537cm and has a total of 2685 LED lights. Basically, expect it to sparkle, a lot.
“The Coca-Cola Arena sign being installed onto the venue is the moment the UAE recognises the arena is ready to welcome guests inside to experience the very best of live entertainment from around the globe,” said AEG Ogden’s CEO of Coca-Cola Arena Guy Ngata
“Having the sign fully completed and in position portrays the final step in transforming the building into a place where memories are made and we are incredibly excited to welcome our first visitors and performers this week.”
Got tickets to see Russell Peter’s perform his Deported comedy tour? From what we’ve been told from the funny man himself, you’ll want to leave your phones at the door. See what else he had to say in our exclusive interview with him right here.
There are other huge acts coming to the arena, including star pop band Maroon 5.
